(WHAS11) -- A Paducah man has pleaded not guilty to charges that he put his infant son in a kitchen oven.
33-year-old Larry Long entered the plea Thursday to a first degree wanton endangerment charge.
The child wasn't harmed in the March incident.
Police said Long claims he doesn't remember putting the 5-week-old baby in the oven, but does remember feeding him at 3 a.m.
The boy's mother says she heard the baby crying and found him on a cookie sheet in the cold oven where he had been for about two hours.
Investigators say Long claims he was high and drunk.
