(News release) -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is heating up its efforts to stop Texting and Driving.
They are teaming up with Legendary Former Louisville Football Coach Howard Schnellenberger to produce a Public Service Announcement on the cause, that also features an APP that’s designed to stop texting and driving. The app is called Free Safe Text and was designed by a father and grandfather who wanted to make the roads safer. It works like airplane mode.
All you have to do is download and press the on button before you start to drive. Anyone who texts you will automatically receive a message letting them know you are driving and will respond shortly. You will not know someone texted you - no distraction = no danger.
Once you’ve parked, you turn the app off and you’ll receive the text messages. No text messages get lost.
