LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- When the phone rings at two local businesses it could mean big bucks for the WHAS Crusade for Children.

From now until May 31 Kentucky Telco Federal Credit Union and Craig and Landreth car dealers will donate $60 to the Crusade for every one car loan generated.

It's an organized effort to celebrate the Crusade's 60th year.

"This just seemed like a great opportunity.  The Crusade's been around for 60 years.  In the previous 59 they've given over a $148 million to local charities," Adam Reynolds, Kentuck Telco, said.

The two businesses are beefing up the deal for car buyers by offering coupons worth $600.  The $60 for the 60th Crusade event runs through May 31.

The 60th WHAS Crusade for Children is coming up June 1 and 2. The goal in 2013 is $6 million raised for the special needs children of Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
