LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Kohl’s Department Store made a big donation to Kosair Children’s Hospital during a car seat safety clinic.

The store presented a check for more than $123,000 Monday.

Certified technicians from Kosair Children’s Hospital were on hand checking car seats.

A new initiative called Kohl’s Cares High Five Prevention Program hosted the event.

The program is geared to lower the number of avoidable injuries involving children.
