BAGDAD, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A 64-year-old great grandmother from Bagdad, Kentucky, has been dubbed the 'Ultimate Trophy Wife.'
Marty Mason's trophies are wild game that she has hunted around the world, in fact she is now competing for the title of Extreme Huntress.
The gun toting granny who used to work for state government, didn't even pick up a gun to hunt until she was 45.
Marty and her husband, Bob, started with deer in Kentucky, then traveled out West and eventually, to Africa.
The kudu, from Namibia, was shot from 250 yards, its horns nearly 5 feet long. Other game includes a zebra from South Africa, as well as a gemsbok, honey badger and jackal.
Marty says nothing goes to waste from anything she shoots, all the meat is left behind for the locals.
Now, Marty is a finalist in the Extreme Huntress Competition, competing against women from all over the world.
