CANEYVILLE, Ky. (NEWS RELEASE) – On Thursday, Jan. 16, at 9:15 a.m.  the Kentucky State Police Post 04 received a call from Grayson Co. dispatch in regards to a child that was found unresponsive by a relative in the 100 block of Cherry St. 

Twenty-three-month-old Keaton Runsvold was found unresponsive by Grayson Co. EMS at the residence after a family member called 911.  The child was taken by EMS to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield where he was later pronounced deceased at 9:36 a.m. 

KSP personnel conducted a search of the residence. 

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday on Jan. 16 in Louisville at the State Medical Examiner’s Office with toxicology results pending. 

At this time the case is being handled as a Death Investigation involving suspected ingestion of an unknown substance.  The investigation is ongoing.
