SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating after a deadly accident on I-64 westbound in Shelby County Thursday.
According to Shelby County dispatchers the multi-vehicle crash happened between the 34 and 35 mile marker near the Shelbyville exit.
KSP said 38-year-old Charles Moore of Frankfort was killed when he rear-ended a recycling truck that was slowing down in traffic. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Moore was not wearing a seat belt.
The operator of the recycling truck William Gram of Indiana was not injured.
