BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police investigators in Kentucky are now looking into a Pennsylvania murder to see if there could be a connection to the murder of Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis.

Kentucky State Police say they have contacted Pennsylvania State Police about the possible connection in the cases but say they did not feel the two were related.

The two agencies say they will keep in contact with one another if anything develops.

On Saturday in Pennsylvania, 28-year-old Timothy Davison called 911 saying a car was tailgating him and was firing shots at him. Police say the suspect rammed Davison into a snow bank got out of his car and shot him again, killing him. Police say the attack was random.
