KSP investigate arson in Lawrenceburg, Ky.

Frankfort, Ky. (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Kentucky State Police are investigating an arson that occurred in the 3100 block Bardstown Road in Lawrenceburg, Ky.  A large storage barn located at Red’s Welding and Scrap Removal was intentionally set on fire.  The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012.

The fire caused minimal damaged due to the fact that it self-extinguished.  It was discovered by the property owner on Sunday afternoon.  Anyone with information about this fire is asked to call the Kentucky Arson Hotline at 1-800-27-ARSON (1-800-272-7766).  The Kentucky Arson Hotline will pay up to $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the arsonist.  Callers may remain anonymous.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and the KSP Frankfort Post responded to the original complaint. The investigation is now being lead by the Post 12 Arson Investigator and is ongoing.
