COX'S CREEK, Ky. -- Troopers with the Kentucky State Police are investigating a car accident in Nelson County that left two siblings dead.

According to a KSP news release, a 2002 Jetta driven by 22-year-old Amaris Blair was traveling northbound on KY 245 when the car crossed the center lane, spun and was hit by a pickup truck.

Amaris Blair was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Nelson County Coroner. Her brother, and passenger in the car, 23-year-old Jonathan Blair was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe alcohol played a factor in the accident.

Three people in the pickup truck sustained non-life threatening injuries and were all transported to area hospitals.

Toxicology results are pending.
