LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Judge Angela Bisig declared a mistrial in the murder trial of Dejuan Hammond on Tuesday, April 15.

His trial started last week.

He's charged in the 2009 shooting death of Troya Sheckles, who was supposed to testify in the murder trial of Hammond's brother, Lloyd.

On Monday morning, April 14, the judge had denied a motion that would have declared a mistrial. There was an interview that prosecutors had never turned over to the defense, who cried foul, but were not granted the mistrial.
