LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—The murder trial for DeJuan Hammond is continuing on Monday afternoon.

On Monday morning the judge denied a motion that would have declared a mistrial.

There was an interview that prosecutors had never turned over to the defense, who cried foul, but were not granted the mistrial.

Hammond is charged with killing a witness in a high profile murder case. He is accused of setting up Steven Pettway to kill Troya Sheckles to keep her from testifying against his brother.

Hammond’s brother Lloyd was on trial for killing Sheckles boyfriend, she was also a witness to the crime.
