Jimmy Carter, others to get honors at Ali Center Thursday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Former President Jimmy Carter, along with singers Michael Bolton and Christina Aguilera are in town for the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards.

A Louisville man, Mark Hogg, is also getting quite an honor on Thursday night, Oct. 3.

The awards are part of a festival called "Three Days of Greatness" which kicked off Wednesday night with a screening of the film “Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight.”

The boxing great made a rare public appearance at the Ali Center for the premiere Wednesday night.

Michael Bolton was at Wednesday night's premiere as well. He will get an award on Thursday for his work with gender equality.

Former President Carter will get the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Lifetime Achievement Award Thursday night.
