LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau has accepted the resignation of the President and CEO Jim Wood.
He leaves the job after 11 years and the board accepted his resignation at their meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
Wood brought a number of big time conventions and meetings to the city and represented the city at industry trade shows and conferences.
Wood has worked in the hospitality industry for 44 years and is also responsible for bringing Abbey Road on the River to town.
There's no word yet on what the future holds for Wood. Karen Williams will take over the post for the next 90 days.
Sources close to the bureau tell WHAS11 News Wood's resignation was a mutual decision by Wood and the bureau's board.
