JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Jeffersonville is planning to revamp part of a busy downtown street as part of the Big Four Bridge Project.
The street section is the portion of East Chestnut Street between Pearl and Spring Streets.
On Thursday, crews broke ground on the project which will replace the run-down sidewalks and add new lighting and landscaping.
The $500K renovation is meant to draw people from the pedestrian bridge into downtown Louisville.
