Jeffersonville, Ind. (WHAS11) - The embattled homeless shelter in Jeffersonville is facing more troubles as they are forced to shut down for renovation.
The Haven House will shut down on September 9 and could get new management, all of which will take several months to complete.
On August 24, local organizations came together to discuss how they can help those homeless citizens find a shelter.
An organization called Exit Zero works with the homeless on the streets and their biggest concern is what will happen to those who are convicted felons.
The Haven House was seized by the IRS earlier this year and auctioned off. It is the only homeless shelter in a 14 county area of southern Indiana.
