LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- An apartment building in Jeffersontown was evacuated Tuesday morning after black smoke filled the building.

Firefighters were called to the Park Laureate Apartments on Stony Brook Drive around 3 a.m.

One of the buildings was evacuated while firefighters worked to determine the cause of the smoke.

"It's unnerving. I don't think everything has set in just yet to be honest with you," resident Emily Sellers said.

Investigators said they believe the smoke was caused by a electrical fire.

No injuries were reported.
