LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Jefferson County judge said no to Josh Young's request to have his record cleared.

Young was acquitted in 2013 for the 2011 murder of his 14-year-old stepbrother, Trey Zwicker, and recently appeared on the "Doctor Phil" show to talk about the case.

Young's father, Josh Gouker, pleaded guilty to killing Zwicker.

He has filed a motion to withdraw that plea. A hearing on that is set for May.

Young was acquitted, but when anyone does a criminal background check on him they'll still find he was charged with murder.

Young wants all those records cleared.
