LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Jefferson County Public School officials confirm a student brought a weapon to Valley High School Wednesday morning.
A district spokesperson says two students got into a verbal altercation in a classroom. One student pulled out what a teacher believed to be a kitchen knife. The teacher stepped in between the two students to diffuse the situation.
The student who had the weapon fled from the school.
No word on any charges.
