TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) – A central Indiana pastor accused of planting video cameras inside the women’s bathroom at his church will still face charges despite his attorney’s argument that the charges violate a decision by the Indiana Court of Appeals.
A Tippecanoe County judge won’t dismiss child exploiting charges against 56-year-old Robert Lyzenga saying the appeals court ruling doesn’t apply in this case.
Court documents say some of the children caught in the bathroom by the cameras were as young as 5 years old.
The cameras were found by a congregation member.
In addition to exploitation, Lyzenga is also charged with voyeurism.
