Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The identities have been released of the people involved in the I-71 southbound accident near the 14 mile marker that occurred on July 24.

The driver of the minivan has been identified as Gus Malawi, 51. The passengers in the van have been identified as Omar Marhaba, 18; Rana Malawi, 48; Zarifa Malawi, 77; Jumana Alameddine, 58; Lina Marhaba, 45; and a 13-year-old girl.

All those riding in the minivan are believed to reside in Prospect, Ky. Zarifa Malawi died from her injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer has been identified as Joshua Roth, a 28-year-old from Sidney, Oh. Roth was not injured in the collision.

Currently, no criminal charges are expected in this case.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. There is no update on the extent of the other persons’ injuries.
