Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - A crash on I-65 just north of Elizabethtown had traffic stalled for hours but the road has now reopened.

It happened around 6:30 Thursday morning at the 101 mile marker on I-65 northbound.

Kentucky State Police say a semi was travelling southbound when it crossed the median and crashed into another semi travelling north.

Both semis suffered heavy damage but the drivers reported only minor injuries.

The interstate was closed for several hours while police investigated the crash.
