WEST POINT, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The unloading of the most dangerous chemical in two rail cars, the hydrogen fluoride, is now complete at the train derailment site in West Point, Ky. That chemical will now be removed from the area.

But MetroSafe officials say in Jefferson County, they are not going to lift the half mile evacuation area as of Wednesday night and Dixie Highway remains closed.

However West Point, Ky. residents outside of the Dixie Highway closure can return to their homes.
