LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- A volunteer at a Shelbyville dog rescue will be spending 48 hours living the life of a dog.
Paula Sparrow, in an effort to find a forever home for a dog named Boss Man, will spend the two days doing everything a dog would do at Tyson’s Chance Kennel.
“I’ll be right in the kennel with him, except when he’s taken out for walks and potty breaks,” she said. “We’ll sleep together at night.”
Sparrow said her project will be in hopes of finding a home for Boss Man, a pit/bull dog mix, as well as promoting the efforts of the Tyson’s Chance organization.
The organization is operated by Ashley Shelburne, of Shelburne Pet Center.
Shelburne specializes in rehabilitating pit bulls and other breeds with problem behaviors.
Sparrow said she knows that living in a kennel with a dog won’t be easy.
“There’s just something special about Boss,” she said. “I’m committed to doing whatever I can to reach out and find that perfect home for him.”
