LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Home of the Innocents is asking the Louisville community for their help this holiday season.
The home cares for more than 400 children daily and many come to the home for different reasons while facing crisis.
According to Home of the Innocents, the number of children who need help is up but the donations are down this year.
The center needs to raise $300,000 before the end of the month to continue providing children with clothes, food and a place to stay.
“We’re running behind this year in the donations and we’re getting a little bit concerned because this is the giving season. If we don’t get the donations in during the holiday season, it gets very difficult to get them in later,” Gordon Brown, President & CEO of The Home of Innocents said.
