(WHAS11) -- The north end of Louisville’s Frankfort Ave is a budding business neighborhood and there could soon be another restaurant. Louisville restaurant broker Houston Jones is looking for someone to renovate and lease the historic Hilltop Theatre which sits right next to the Silver Dollar.

“I think it's going to be a fantastic opportunity for a restaurateur here in Louisville or even outside of Louisville to turn this into a restaurant, cinema house or something like that,” Jones said.

Pat Malone has lived next to the building for 20 years.

“Oh I think it’s great because it will stimulate everything and I don't know what else they were going to do with it because it's been sitting there,” Malone said.

Inside the building you’ll find the original molding and restoring the history to the building is top of mind to the developers. The adjacent lot will be used for park and green space and neighboring businesses are all for it.

“When Maido closed we definitely saw an impact at our business. The foot traffic isn’t quite the same, so we definitely welcome any business that's going to open this side of Frankfort Avenue,” Marc DeMichele of Canines and Vines said.

Jones estimates it would cost a potential restaurant owner $1 million to renovate the space.
