Hike, Bike and Paddle takes over Downtown Louisville

(WHAS 11)--Thousands of cyclists, walkers, and kayakers will crowd Downtown Louisville for the 20th Healthy Hometown Hike Bike and Paddle.

Cyclists will pedal through a 15 mile course beginning at Waterfront Park out to Shawnee Park and back to the waterfront.

Boaters can either paddle through the land side of Towhead Island to Bear Grass creek or through Mcalpine locks and dam to New Albany.

TARC buses will bring boaters back to the launch sites.

Walkers will take a tour west along the wharf and portions of the Riverwalk towards Tenth Street.

The hiking, biking, and kayaking begin at 10 a.m. Sept. 1.

There are early activities like yoga and zumba beginning at 8 a.m.
