Water main break
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A few days after a boil water advisory was lifted, the Louisville Water Company has finished repairs to the water main that caused flooding in the Highlands but the intersection will be closed until at least Wednesday, April 30.
According to the Louisville Water Company, the new water main is in place at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Baxter Avenue and repairs are complete.
Officials said paving began Sunday, April 27, but the Louisville Water Company is waiting for the weather to cooperate so they can finish paving the intersection.
Thursday's water main break affected a huge portion of the Highlands and left many without water or with low water pressure.
