PEWEE VALLEY, Ky. (WHAS11) – An Oldham County woman has pleaded not guilty to murder charges after being indicted in the killing of her live-in boyfriend.

51-year-old Gail Kelley is accused of hitting 44-year-old Michael Evans in the head with a hatchet at the couple’s Peewee Valley home in July.

Neighbors say the two had been fighting before the murder.

Kelley is due in court for a pre-trial hearing in December.
