LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Details for a new $18.5 million soccer stadium at the University of Louisville were released.

The school says a ground breaking ceremony will be held this Thursday, May 30, in the 2500 block of South Floyd Street.

That's where the new doctor Mark and Cindy Lynn soccer stadium will be built. A parking lot occupies that space now, across from the practice fields and Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

The new stadium will have seating for more than 5,300 fans.

The Lynns recently gave UofL $5 million to begin the construction.
