LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- With rain expected for the Governor's Cup, plenty of sporting goods shops are putting out their finest.
Nope, not the typical UK and UL hats and t-shirts but ponchos and rain gear. Stores are selling out fast as fans prepare to weather the storm.
Even at the Neutral Zone in St Matthews, there is one thing that cards and cats fans can agree on.
"What did you get here? I got some ponchos cause it looks like the weather is gonna be bad . The weather is gonna be bad? Ahh they're saying that. But we're gonna be ready for it, " said Baker "Bear" Tinsley, a Cards Fan.
"We'll be outside in the rain but we will be having a great time," said Kim Dodson, a Cats Fan.
With Isaac planning on making a special guest appearance at this weekend's game, stores like this one are thinking ahead. Ponchos under 10 dollars and fans are snagging them up, not taking any chances. This cards fan bought two.
"We got a couple of ponchos. One for me one for the wife . That's good . She's gonna love you for that. Yep she knows she got a good man so what can I say," said Tinsley.
One cats fan isn't even going to the game but still plans to be prepared.
"I'm not going to the game. I'm going to a party at rough river . So we'll be having a house boat party there. So everybody's welcome. And we are gonna cheer on the cats," said Dodson.
A little rain is not gonna scare away the cards and cats fans. That's why many stores are stocking up on ponchos and hats and actually they have moved them to the front of the store and people are buying them up quickly."
"Some people are lucky and have the covered seats. But you might as well get one just to be safe, " said Jeremy Paulin, Manager Neutral Zone.
In rain , sleet , snow or tropical depression, fans aren't deterred, just more fired up than ever.
"See that looks nice on you. That's gonna look good. It goes with my eyes doesn't it? it does," said Rodney Thompson, Cats Fan.
If you're going to the game, you have to get a poncho if you want to stay dry, umbrellas are not allowed inside Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
