LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The same storm system that spawned the deadly tornadoes in Indiana last March also triggered many in Kentucky.
Governor Steve Beshear is urging Kentuckiana to take time tomorrow to remember the storm victims.
25 people were killed in Kentucky and more than 600 homes were destroyed.
One of the hardest hit towns was West Liberty, Kentucky.
In the storm, the elementary school was ripped apart and students are still attending classes in an old warehouse.
School repairs are expected to be finished by the end of the year.
