LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- February is a month to bring awareness to heart disease in Kentuckiana- it is heart month after all!

Thursday at the Wildwood Country Club, Belmont Village Senior Living sponsored a lunch to get the word out about Go Red.

About 100 health care providers attended the luncheon. WHAS11's own Rachel Platt and Claudia Coffey talked with the group about their involvement.

Women and men decked out in their red boas were all ready to learn ways to lower their risk of heart disease.

The big Go Red luncheon will be held on May 17th at the International Convention Center.
