LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- He is one of the most recognizable faces on daytime television. "Spinelli" from General Hospital stopped by Louisville and the WHAS11 Studios Friday.
Bradford Anderson could have picked anywhere in the world to have a bachelor party for his buddy, but the actor chose Louisville. He came to see what all the buzz is about.
On the hit ABC soap General Hospital his is in the middle of a love triangle and all the drama that ensues. In real life, Anderson is a husband and father who says he knew Louisville was the best place to come to show his friends a good time.
“My best friend is getting married. He lives in North Carolina. I live in Los Angeles, some of our friends live in Boston and trying to find a place that we could all get to and that would be ideal for activities that we like i.e. drinking bourbon and so Louisville seemed to be an appropriate choice,” Anderson said.
On the advice of a friend he decided to come and check out the Bourbon Trail, the restaurants and some zip lining at the Mega Cavern.
“I wanted to find a city where we could have a unique time without going somewhere like Vegas and I was looking for a smaller city that was charming and had character and would be unique to all of us since we are from the North East,” Anderson said.
He says Louisville has been on his radar for a while.
“That’s a city I have always wanted to go to with the theatre scene, the historic hotels, the budding food scene,” Anderson said.
While he was in town he gave us some scoop on what's happening next in Port Charles.
“We are having more great veterans come back. Genie Francis is coming back, from Luke and Laura. The nurses ball, a famed GH institution, that has been kind of off the show for a few years that is coming back this spring," Anderson said.
