LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Gas prices back up and many in Kentuckiana are asking why the price increased.

Gas prices around Louisville have gone up over 33 cents per gallon in the last week. The average price is around $3.53 a gallon. That is above the the national average which stands at $3.48.

Experts are blaming the increase on rising oil prices and they say there does not appear to be any relief in sight at least for the time being.
