Funeral set for Ky. airman killed in Afghanistan

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) -- Funeral arrangements are set for a Kentucky airman killed in Afghanistan.
 
   Thirty-year-old Air Force Staff Sgt. Daniel Fannin, of Morehead, was one of four men killed in the crash of a U.S. Air Force MC-12 on April 27 near Kandahar Airfield.
 
   The Defense Department is still investigating the cause of the crash. There were no reports of enemy activity in the area at the time.
 
   Fannin was a 12-year Air Force veteran assigned to the 552nd Operations Support Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.
 
   WLEX-TV reports (http://bit.ly/18tmFcj) visitation will take place from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Morehead First Church of God with a memorial service immediately following. Burial is in Oklahoma.
 
   Memorial contributions can be made to the Morehead American Legion Post No. 126 Building Fund.
