Ft. Knox Mission Command Training Center to stay open despite shutdown

(WHAS11) -- The Mission Command Training Center at Fort Knox said regardless of a government shutdown  Homeland Security will not be affected.

During a training exercise Monday, military personnel commented a possible shutdown.

"Our service is more than money it's a call to service a call of duty, we're here for more than just the money, we're here to protect the country," one soldier said.

Active-duty military personnel will continue to get paid, but the Department of Army Civilians may be furloughed.
