LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A dog that was badly injured in a dog fighting ring has now undergone surgery.
The dog, now named Frodo, had one of its hind legs amputated.
Rebecca Eaves with the Arrow Fund said Frodo had surgery that completely removed his leg up to the hip.
The dog was found tied to a fence on July 2, on West Kentucky Street. He had duct tape around his mouth.
A $5000 reward is being offered to find the person who's responsible for the dog's injuries.
The name "Frodo" was chosen from Lord of the Rings because of everything that the dog and character endured.
