LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A former Jefferson County constable who was charged in a shooting at a Wal-Mart parking lot is now planning to run for Metro Council.
David Whitlock's attorney confirmed to WHAS11 that Whitlock is planning to run and filed paperwork on Jan. 27.
Whitlock entered an Alford Plea in 2012 for shooting a woman in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The plea agreement sent him to a diversion program which he completed in December 2013.
Now that he's completed the program the case has been dismissed.
Whitlock is running for the 3rd District in Shively and would be up against Mary Wooldridge.
