PINEVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- An eastern Kentucky man who took a plea deal in the beating death of an elderly man has testified against three other defendants.
According to WYMT-TV (http://bit.ly/102GoaX ) in Hazard, Jeremiah Evans will be cross-examined by defense attorneys on Wednesday in Pineville.
Brian Hatfield, Deborah Partin, and Candy Maiden are being tried on murder charges in the January 2008 beating of 91-year-old William Taylor, who died a week after the attack. Evans maintains he drove the other defendants to Taylor's home, but did not take part in beating him.
