LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- More than 10,000 2013 Ford Escapes are being recalled because of a potential braking issue.
According to the Detroit News, about 8,200 Escapes in the US and 2,100 Escapes in Canada are affected. All of the Escapes being recalled were made at the Louisville Assembly Plant between March 8 and June 7.
The problem is with mispositioned carpet padding, which could affect how the driver brakes.
However, Ford says they have not recieved any complaints from drivers.
Owners of the affected SUV's will be notified starting July 23. The issue can be resolved by taking the vehicle back to the dealer.
