LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Ford Motor Company, Mayor Greg Fischer and the UAW Local 862 are building 25 wheelchair ramps across Louisville for disabled residents.

It's called the 'Wayne Vickers Memorial Wheel Chair Ramp Project'.

It was named after a Ford retiree who passed in September.

Kentucky Truck Plant and the Louisville Assembly Plant employee contributions provided funds for the materials in the construction.
