LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Debris from flooding earlier in the month is beginning to pile up at the city-sponsered drop-off site and time is running out for residents to add to the rubble.

Metro Louisville opened the Waste Reduction Center on Meriwether Avenue to allow flooding victims to get rid of anything damaged.

There are plenty of ruined couches and other furniture at the site and Public Works is expecting a lot more before the site closes on October 26.

Hours of operation for the site are Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There is no charge, but you will have to bring a utility bill and a driver's license to prove you're a resident of Jefferson County.
