LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – First Lady Michelle Obama is looking for healthy recipes in an effort to make lunchtime healthier for school children.

In an effort with the USDA, the U.S. Department of Education and popular food website Epicurious.com, the first lady wants students to submit their healthy recipes for the Kid’s State Dinner being held late this summer.

One student from each state will be invited to attend the dinner and have their recipe published in a cookbook.

The deadline for kids to submit their recipes is Sunday, May 12.
