LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire that broke out overnight in West Louisville.
Firefighters were called to the 2400 block of W. Chestnut Street just after 1 a.m. where they said they had "challenges" containing the blaze.
"It is a pretty large structure and there is a lot of, uh, debris, clutter on the first floor, made it very difficult to access it from the front. We had companies go through the rear," Col. Glenn Nally with Louisville Fire and Rescue said.
The fire started in the back of the home on the first floor in what firefighters said they believe was a bedroom.
No one was in the home when the fire began.
