Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - There was a house fire on Wainwright Avenue near the main U of L campus on Tuesday.

It was a tough one for firefighters, not due to the fire but the weather conditions.

The homeowners called firefighters after hearing a loud pop.

Once they arrived, fire officials say it only took ten minutes to get out and no one was injured.

"You look at the weather and road conditions and road conditions, they delay us once we get here, we have to maneuver around it based on the fire or conditions we will send people up to the roof...and they are snowcapped, so that's another challenge," said one firefighter.

Louisville fire department says they have first response units put snow chains on their tires when we get weather like Tuesday.
