Fire breaks out in vacant home on Grand Avenue

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Firefighters are working the scene of a house fire near the intersection of 2200 block of Grand Avenue.

The fire  broke out around 3:30 a.m. and when crews arrived at the home they said it was fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters said they are not sure where the fire started, but flames from the basement went up into the walls.

Grand Avenue is closed at the 2100 block and will remains shut down until the scene is cleared.

No injuries have been reported. Fire officials said they believe the home was vacant.
