LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- eBay Enterprise is looking for 2000 seasonal employees and 150 new full-time employees for both their Louisville and Shepherdsville campus.

The e-commerce giant added additional warehouse space, where they now own more than 1 million square feet of property in Kentucky.

The $45 million investment in the Commonwealth is the largest expansion in the company’s history.

“For me personally, it’s my biggest accomplishment because we went from conceptualizing the whole idea about 12 months ago,” said Tobias Hartmann, who is head of Omnichannel Operations for eBay Enterprise. “Getting something done of that magnitude, expanding here to 1 million square feet, is a pretty big accomplishment.”

Hartmann says last October, a client asked the company how eBay could support the client’s growth. eBay’s response was by acquiring more warehouse space. In less than a year, eBay finished construction.

“Hats off to the eBay Enterprise’s team for even thinking about it to executing it,” said Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer. “That is record time in terms of speed. Well done.”
