LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Emergency crews responded to an EMS involved accident on Thursday afternoon.
We are told EMS was on a run with emergency equipment when the car in front of them did not hear the siren and did not move out of the way. The EMS vehicle attemped to go around but at that same time the vehicle moved in the same path. EMS then clipped the vehicle and struck a vehicle in incoming traffic.
Both EMS workers were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The two people in the oncoming vehicle were transported with non-life threatening injuries. Passengers in the other vehicle did not have any injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
