LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Monday morning the Kennedy Bridge will be inspected and the far right lane of Interstate 65 south will be shut down beginning at 10 a.m.

Bridge inspection work will keep the right lane of I-65 south for one week.

Monday night, I-65 will narrow from three lanes to two lanes from the Jefferson Street ramp to Muhammad Ali Boulevard.

In addition to that closure, the ramp from I-64 east to I-65 south will close to ease congestion on I-65 south.

This traffic pattern will be normal until the bridge completions in 2016.

Drivers will be detoured using I-264 West.
